This guy is a television commercial producer for an ad agency in Sweden. He is from there. I simply asked what is going on there....
Me: Is there really an immigration problem in Sweden? We're trying to receive real news here but it has been difficult lately
Martin:
Haha no, not like they try to portray it on tv.
It's all in the news here how trump/America is giving misleading information.
Trump mentioned something about a terrorist attack that he pulled from his arse.
No terrorist attacks here.
But we have accepted a lot of immigrant, more than we can handle and to integrate. So the trouble happening is rather poor people, some with bad baggage from war and stuff being unemployed and restless. But you only hear about the few bad eggs.
It's some documentary an American did, interviewing Swedish cops. They are furious because he edited out the question and took answers out of context.
But the news that trump calls fake news are probably closer to reality.
But I'm happy that your president makes our leader look like a frickin genius
He is in the news everyday here. It's like a soap opera show the world is following
But your relationship with Russia is better now than ever before so that's always something I guess...(sarcasm)
It's a strange time to be alive.
A Swedish paper actually wrote some articles in English if any American reporter was looking
from the actual source

Can you now get one of his conservative friends on the phone and ask him the same questions?
You think he has a conservative friend?
So paying them off, to be good, should work then. The socialist way.

Uhh, that's because they've been intentionally cover up crimes committed by "immigrants".

So an actual propagandist is pulling a Baghdad Bob?

LOL
That's like some rich dude living in one of the nicer burbs of Chicago and saying, "There's no crime here. It's completely safe. The media portrayal is wrong."

His easy dismissal of an obvious problem is interesting.

Soap opera is probably pretty accurate. The "news" presented with a protagonist, antagonist, plot twists, script changes to benefit the plot lines, etc...

I don't know why it is shocking for the world to find out that Trump supporters are convinced that Swedes are under non-stop attack from radical Muslims in Sweden when the same people are convinced that they are in danger of suffering an attack from a Radical Muslim in the US but don't think anything at all about jumping in their car and shooting off down the road, a much riskier undertaking than living amongst Syrian refugees..

If you ask a Bernie Sanders supporter what's going in the United States versus asking a Ted Cruz, Trump, (take your pick) supporter, you will get completely different answers. So why does anyone give a frick what your Swedish television commercial producer guy has to say?

And I have a friend who I worked with in Moscow who lives in Stockholm and he tells a completely different story about the nasty Muslim immigrants. He blames the leftist party in power for being too politically correct to deport the scum rioters.

Holy shite. There is so much wrong with your post I don't know where to start.

Non-stop? Nah.
All Swedes? Nah again. Mostly just the women.
Cars are dangerous. They are a necessity for most of us outside the liberal bubble cities. Not the best example. But, if you are into risk mitigation then why import more risk?

Refugees are behind the rise of crime, but authorities are not disclosing theses facts.
There are no statistics to support this statement. When it comes to people being convicted for crimes, Brå does not regularly investigate their ethnicity. On the other hand, there is a report from 2005 that shows that people born outside of Sweden are more likely to be suspects in crimes compared to people being born in Sweden. According to the liberal web site Migrationsinfo.se, it has to do with conditions related to their home country, standard of living in Sweden and discrimination within the court system.

True but I actually know a bunch of Swedes so i felt lke this board needs some real perspective instead of some conservative news filter

Kinda thought the same thing. I'd give a different answer living in Louisiana than someone would who lives in California or New York.
