Not a Trump supporter, but I agree with this. It will require greater funds to properly implement, but I think it is worth it. I also think many will self deport.

WASHINGTON — The Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday released a set of documents translating President Trump’s executive orders on immigration and border security into policy, bringing a major shift in the way the agency enforces the nation’s immigration laws.
quote:
Under the Obama administration, undocumented immigrants convicted of serious crimes were the priority for removal. Now, immigration agents, customs officers and border patrol agents have been directed to remove anyone convicted of any criminal offense. That includes people convicted of fraud in any official matter before a governmental agency and people who “have abused any program related to receipt of public benefits.” The policy also calls for an expansion of expedited removals, allowing Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent to deport more people immediately. Under the Obama administration, expedited removal was used only within 100 miles of the border for people who had been in the country no more than 14 days. Now it will include those who have been in the country for up to two years, and located anywhere in the nation.

Oh my, it's....it's HAPPENING! Is it crazy that it took this long for some common sense to occur?

So people that came here illegally and abuse our government weren't being deported until now??? Thats the real story here, holy shite. Committing fraud against the government wasn't an automatic deportation

The long term costs will be a net positive.
GFY.

There is already outrage in many Canadian border towns because immigrants are streaming in and causing problems. I read an article (I think in WaPost) which stated that a small town above North Dakota has had a huge influx of illegal immigrants and they are none too happy about it.

Trump is getting stuff done at a breakneck pace. It pisses the MSM off that he is doing things so fast they can't keep up with what's going on.

Why are you against enforcing the rule of law in this country?

How in the $#%# can anyone disagree with this?
We are going to deport ILLEGAL aliens who are convicted of a crime?
First, they ALL should be deported. They came here illegally and that's the end of the story. Go home, apply legally, and come back. ANYTHING else only encourages further ILLEGAL immigration.
The insanity of this debate is off the charts.

'native people'
actually, that's a great idea. Anyone deported should also have all of their assets siezed...ALL of them.
