As a teacher, I see this all of the time. The parent dosnt have to be rich to have a good student. It is all about parental involvement and how much the parent is involved with their students education and other school activities.

This is what kills me about all of the homework that comes home at such a young age now. All that is happening is enormous gaps are being created between the kids who have parents at home to help them and those that do not.
