They call May the mud season but I can't imagine anytime not good for JH. For the other guy, log on to seejh.com and look at the Elk Preserve. You can see the animals. Awesome. You can rent a carriage or whatever you call it to ride up close. The only downside is the road to the Teton's is closed. But a snowmobile is good.

We did the elk preserve and a snow mobile tour (12 hours) I'd highly recommend both. Big assed snow. Saw bison, moose and loads of deer. Cheap too.
