The problem wasn't that Fournette can't catch or showed problems in the receiving game, it was that he simply wasn't asked to do it much in the Tigers offense. That's not his fault & much more on the coaching staff for not exploiting his abilities as a receiver more. When he was thrown the ball out of the backfield, he excelled at it. Dalvin Cook on the other hand, was used multiple ways in the passing game, allowing him to show off his outstanding receiving skills. Jimbo Fisher made it a point to take advantage of that. These videos are good breakdowns of both players. For as good as Cook is as a receiver, he is equally as terrible in pass pro.
