I really want to eat some good seafood in Ireland and want to make it to Howth, maybe do a morning/ lunch there. I just would really like to make it out to the country too and I'm not sure 3 days is enough time for Howth and the Country. As much as I want seafood/ the coast of Ireland I feel like "ireland" is the countryside in a car type of thing.
That's what I'm looking to find really.
That place looks fantastic though, I'm going to try my best to get to Howth and that place. Is that a good like Morning trip with lunch by train and then go back to downtown Dublin in the afternoon/ evening for dinner?

Yes you really don't need to spend more than a couple hours in Howth. Take the train in the morning, walk around, eat lunch at Octopussys, go back to Dublin.
ETA I will add that renting a car is not as easy as in the States. You have to buy car insurance because the roads are so dangerous and in general, it takes a long time...
if you can avoid renting a car I would highly recommend it. Obviously you have to deal with driving a stick and on the left side of the road also.
