I have no problem with polling places requiring id to vote.

It impacts Ds more than Rs- and of course, that's the point (shocker - it's political) but I can't for the life of me come up with a reason NOT to require some sort of id when you vote.

That's because you have a rational mind. Try debating with the libs on that. Then bang your head against the wall.

Other than "It impacts Ds more than Rs" there is no reason not to require ID to vote. Since there are more minorities voting for D's than R's it could be seen as a way to limit minorities access to the polls....and we have a long, storied history of doing that in this country.

Again, I have no problem facilitating the fears of the mentally challenged among us who think this is a fix to an actual problem (other than the problem of minorities voting in the first place). It hasn't been but about 60 years since a minority would have a pretty good chance of being knocked in the head if they tried to register or vote in this country...and they overcame that shite. They will also overcome this voter id and cross checking shite and will be the stronger for it....and they will remember for generations where it came from...and for generations many "conservatives" will ponder "Why do black people not vote like I tell 'em since I obviously know whats better for them then they do....."

it's one of the most contorted arguments i've ever seen

watching people try to make the argument always makes me feel like they're just brainwashed
