Yes, it does make this feat less credible. But this isn't because it's sexist. It's because every year there are only about 5 to 10 elite women's basketball players. UCONN gets at least half of them.

There are 349 D-1 women's teams since Title IX dictates "equality" in sports. But there just isn't enough talent to staff all of those teams. While there may be 10-20 men's teams that are capable of making a deep run in the tournament every year, there's only one or two year-in, year-out legit women's teams. So yes, I do devalue the UCONN women's team accomplishments in light of what men's teams go through.

This is the deal.

There are tons of good male basketball players.

There are almost no good female basketball players. They mostly all totally suck...Hard truth.

UConn is getting all the goat generational players...Used to be if you had one generational player, you won everything...Like Cheryl Miller at USC or Holdsclaw at UT.

UConn has been getting 3 generational players a year for 15 years...At least.
