might as well be.

World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms - basically, I would house and feed someone anywhere from 2 weeks to 7 or 8 months in exchange for ~20 hours of labor. Pretty decent deal for both parties. Lots of young students and foreigners who want to travel and 'get back to the land'.

I got a nephew who did that for about 15 years. Him and some buddies drift harvest to harvest, make some jack and move on. Funny part is, they'd work their asses off and then at the end of their last harvest they would go down to Mexico and blow it all. Definitely a free spirit.
