Maybe, but that's irrelevant. Why not raise it to 30? Save more lives. Outlaw alcohol. Save more lives.

This whole "but it saves XXX lives" is ridiculous.

I said it may be beside the point. But the point of raising the question is that if there was a decrease in alcohol-related deaths, then that is an argument in favor of raising the drinking age whether you agree with it or not.

Using that logic,why not lower the drinking age to 16?

Drinkihg age was 18 when I was in in HS and was not a
good idea.Some type of alchohol related wreck almot every other weekend,out of control keg parties.Saw 2 people almost drink themselves to death.Sorry,18 year olds couldn't handle it 40 years ago and were much more marure than this generation of snowflake 18 year olds.

If you want to make an exception for members of the armed services I have no problem with it but otherwise it should stay at 21.
