The only sequel that was similar to the first movie was Halloween IV. What made the first film great was not Michael Myers ripping people apart but rather him creeping around the town all day and night. Hopefully McBride can steer this new one in that direction.

Halloween II was turrible: had zero to do with the first/ no Michael, and the one shot of "Baton Rouge" at Trick-or-Treat was a girl on a skateboard.
But McBride is a solid writer. He's ready to put some Tiger Balm on this genre's nuts.
