maybe by that time there will be actual guides available. I get annoyed by all the Youtube lets plays with people playing this game for the first time just running in circles
It is better than Zestiria, but I find myself not really liking the characters that much. Velvet in particular is a walking JRPG cliche. The game world is kind of boring to look at, and there's a lot of re-treading previously explored ground to get to new areas.
The battle system is pretty easy to grasp, but it seems like battles against random enemies tend to drag out longer than they used to. I'm not sure if enemies have more HP, if there are just more enemies on screen, or if my DPS just sucks. That brings me to my next point where it's really hard for me to keep track of what gear is actually an upgrade. There's so much gear to pick up in the game but so much of it has the same name as something else. Stats and abilities per piece of gear seem completely randomized, so some pieces of gear have really good bonuses yet crappy stats or one really good particular stat and other crappy stats. It's not easy to tell if one particular item is an upgrade or not.

Not my favorite Tales game. I still think Vesperia is the top.

I know anti-heroes are becoming more popular, but I don't think that's fair at all. She's a very refreshing protagonist for the franchise and for JRPGs as a whole. There aren't many characters who are driven for revenge, the results on the world ignored.
