Either kansas is breaking bread or tony hull trying to mind frick Coach O into a job. Imo, I think it's gonna work to.

Amazing. A topic I haven't seen yet! I guess there aren't 1001 threads on this subject matter already.

So its really just your opinion on possible scenarios, that have already been produced here probably 10 times each.....

Thanks Freddy, been waiting all weekend on 'your take'.

Wow. The insight. It's like the first time I read Kant.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus on this board

frick Hull. O makes that hire, we've already doomed ourselves. Don't bend over backwards for a position coach and some high school kids.

Is there any proof that this is what is happening? Perhaps he's just doing a good job.

Why would we? These are recruits that would have ended up at A&M, Arkansas, or Mississippi State.
Jason will continue to be recruited. Williams may as well. But even with Jason, there are a ton of WRs in the 2018 class in Louisiana alone. And Williams is a type of back we've never really used that much (even Trindon Holliday wasn't used that much).
If all these guys stay together and end up at Kansas, good for them. It means LSU won't ever have to play against them. But I think once the high of the visit wears off, there will be one or two guys that committed just because everyone else did that rethink things, and it will fall apart. I think the Rummel kids will end up at Arkansas if Arkansas wants them.

Agreed. Sounds like Hull has a good strategy here, which is going after second tier Louisiana players that LSU likely won't offer (with maybe one exception).

No one is going to Kansas, no one. There is a reason they picked Kansas and not say Okie State. Everyone knows they aren't going to Kansas.
That is the thing with a bluff, you better make it believable. This one is stupid, it should not be honored and every top tier program should tell em and the coach to frick off. If not can you imagine what this shite will look like in 10 years.
I hope the coach is homeless soon and the kids are playing at Hinds Jr College.

My take:
1. They are selling early playing time for a coach they are familiar with.
2. The kids have no idea what the gameday atmosphere looks like there. Offseason is the best time for these programs to recruit because they don't have to watch their football.
3. They do have a decent staff up there for recruiting.
4. It won't stick for most of these kids.

These kids, their parents, handlers and coaches must all be idiots then. Kansas has done nothing. There is ZERO reason to go there. What kid would legitimately want to play football there rather than Tennessee or Arkansas, for example? Or for some of them, at LSU, Alabama or FSU? No one, anywhere, ever. There would be no difference if these kids committed to Fresno St, East Carolina or Connecticut. Res ipsa loquitor.
I don't believe for one second that this has any legitimacy. Like someone else said, whatever they are all up to, it is so ridiculous, I can't see it working.

IDK, but it's their decision and not yours.
It's very easy to get a young kid excited about creating a dynasty in an unknown place and doing things the hard way. But, as time goes on and they visit more and more schools and tune in to some KU games, they will realize that it will drastically hurt their career if they choose to go there.
BUt more power to them if they do.

It is shocking that Kansas would have that ability (even if that was actually true for most of these guys). The teams getting the top LA guys that fall just a hair short of LSU wanting them are generally Texas A&M, Tennessee, Nebraska, Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, TCU (even Oklahoma, Texas) - then there are about 3 more tiers of other types of school before you get to teams like Kansas, Fresno St., East Carolina, Connecticut and La Tech.

I hear you - I just don't believe that is what actually happened. Meaning, I don't believe Hull is the greatest used car salesman in the history of the world. Maybe he is. I just strongly doubt it. They could hear that spiel from any crappy program anywhere.
I guess we never really get the true story for most of these recruits and why they go wherever they go - but this is just too transparent.
