I'm fairly certain they didn't hop in a car by themselves. And I'm fairly certain they all travelled together.

Question = answered if we know this.

It's not a conspiracy theory. You're nuts if you think this isn't orchestrated to get Hull the RB job. If he's such a great recruiter of NOLA kids, why didn't he land anyone last cycle who we targeted?

Some shady stuff going on. This may blow up in someone's face big time.

What?

Eta: down vote all you want. I shouldn't have to read 3 other threads to figure out what the hell you're talking about

Has one team ever gone out of state and gotten 5 of the Top 10 players from that state, especially a non Top 25 team?

I don't know, but I've been following recruiting for quite some time and I don't recall something like this ever happening. Five prospects from the same state committing to an out of state school all within one day.

And it's not like it's Bama or another powerhouse program that has accomplished this.
F'n Kansas. If that doesn't warrant further inquiry, I don't know what would.

FWIW, only 3 (not 5) of the top 10 Louisiana recruits are committed to Kansas: Jason, Harris, and Chase. And let's be honest, do we really think they all actually end up being Jayhawks?

No. We know this and so do they, which begs the question of what's the driving force behind this.

I think OP is spot-on in his assessment.

The kids want to play at LSU under Hull.

The problem is Hull is using Kansas as a prop and a couple of kids who likely won't get LSU offers as pawns in his efforts go generate publicity and make his case for the job.

On a side-note, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is the dumbest smartphone I've ever used. I'm going to have to turn autocorrect off because of this stupid phone's limited vocabulary and insistence on changing words that are spelled correctly as typed.

Should've gone with Motorola...

I don't know if it'll get him the LSU job but I gotta believe he'll get a better job than at Kansas

If this is true, I want nothing to do with Hull and his stunts.

Absoloutely not, which makes the questions more warranted IMO. This is either incredibly shady, a coach using high school kids as leverage, or most likely a combination of both. Regardless, I think I'd rather not have Hull around the LSU program at this point.

Any answers on who physically drove the kids to Lawrence? That's a looooong arse drive 15-17 hours. Done it many times. Will be interesting to know who the driver is??

I'd say he is making a pretty strong case. I'm impressed and I think everyone is too. Not sure any other coach in America is capable of pulling this off. That's the type of recruiting prowess we need at LSU IMO.

I am not sure who the head coach of Kansas is at the moment. Last I knew it was Turner Gill. Regardless of who it is it seems very farfetched that the head coach would allow his RB coach to do what many of you are assuming. I am not buying it.

yeah he's long gone...

a blast from the past, 2008 after Gill had just won the MAC Championship at Buffalo, and the Auburn job came open

quote:

Gill also interviewed for the head coaching position at Auburn University, losing out to Iowa State head coach Gene Chizik, who had a 5-19 record. On December 15, former NBA superstar and Auburn player Charles Barkley, who had endorsed Gill for the position, criticized Auburn's decision, saying "race was the No. 1 factor. You can say it's not about race, but you can't compare the two résumés and say [Chizik] deserved the job. Out of all the coaches they interviewed, Chizik probably had the worst résumé."[9]

Gill's been at Liberty for 5 years now, sharing four conference championships
