First year teacher here...

Hours aren't bad, parents aren't too bad, students are awful, pay in TX is solid, but your administration will make or break your experience.

Good luck!

Make sure the admin are males. Trust me.

My experience was the opposite. Every male admin I ever had was more concerned with coaching and sports than fostering a positive learning environment in the classrooms.

Depends on where you can get a teaching job probably. If you can get it in a decent suburban school district, go for it.

You get Summer, 1 week off for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks off for Christmas, another week off for Spring break and several other 1 day holidays off.

Become a teacher, don't ruffle any feathers, create the perception you do more than you actually do.. Open up a snowball stand (From April until Labor Day weekend, you will be off during more of that time).

Once you pay off the snowball stand (which isn't a relatively cheap business to start), put all your profits in a savings, after about five yours put half of what you saved in the stock market. After 10 years of teaching and running your snowball stand, evaluate where you are in life.. Make changes accordingly.

It's all relative. Most teachers complain because they compare it to college and they were ed majors which means they weren't that motivated anyway.

Had some friends get out of the Army and teach they said it's not a bad gig. Pay is low but you get so much time off it's worth it.

Ah yes, so much liberal bias when we're covering a city council meeting

Well in EBR Parish that would be akin to writing an Abbott and Costello skit.

Yes. And I actively try to write and find the most liberal stories I can think of because I want to brainwash the public into letting evil Muslims into the country. Because muhahaha and Trump is literally Hitler. I'm not just some guy who's just trying to make a living. I'm actively part of grand media conspiracy.

Nowadays, it's more babysitting than teaching. If you're actually planning on "teaching" anything, you're in for a rude awakening.

Sadly, I can't recommend the profession to anyone. You will, at least, have a more marketable major than before, however.

What side of the media is responsible for scaring Americans to the point they are more scared of something that is less likely to kill them than dying from a coconut falling out of a tree and killing them from hitting them on the head?

In other words, the ban Trump has imposed on 7 Muslin nations should make us feel as safe as if he would demand all coconut trees to be cut down.

You will either get killed when the Government starts knocking off Journalist or a crazed student shooting up the school. Maybe you should go into the Plants baw.

Two of the most pussified, alpha jobs for men that exist. And a failure on the first..

Just die
