It sure may be sedge. I do have a lot of that in the surrounding yard. Its dark green and looks like young St. Aug. clumps. It grows fast too. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbanghead.gif)

While playing in the yard the other day I picked our third picking of contender bush beans all from a 4x4 ft patch. They are doing great and two other patches are coming up and starting to bloom we like to stagger them. It extends the season and not as hard to pick em. We may replant this patch after they finish.

Update on the nut sedge problem. It's trying to take over along the rows of peas and really slowing down their growth.
A local farmer gave me 5 gallons of something called "Sedge Hammer" to apply. Looks like black pepper and only takes about 1/4 tsp. per gallon of water. Not sold at DIY stores, but is available at some co-ops and nurseries. He told me to spray one gallon now and another gallon in a week. It's not supposed to damage crops at all.
We'll see - I drenched my garden yesterday.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconrolleyes.gif)
