I didn't read everything, but how did he company not at least call to ask if they'd like to pay to have the part overnighted so it was done on time? Gun shops of all places know guys take guns on out of town trips and need them ready before they leave. If a business can't understand to look at a repair in time to order parts, that business is horrible and doesn't deserve business.

2ndly, most gunsmiths can diagnose a problem within 30 minutes. Usually within 5-10 mins. Actually fixing it may take awhile, but it's sad they didn't even diagnose the problem for a week. I'd of demanded an estimate within 7 days or taken it elsewhere.
