And don't tell me that he recruited great talent.

So you're saying that guys like Williams, Dickson, Sheppard, Riley and Scott among others from the 06 recruiting class and Jones, Ridley, Byrd, Dworaczyk and Toliver among others from the 07 recruiting class weren't considered great talent?

And guys from other recruiting classes like Mingo, Loston, Magee, Blue, Ware, Mathieu, Hill, Peterson, Beckham, Turner, Landry, Collins, Alexander' Beckwith, Fournette, Guice, Adams and the list could go on and on weren't great talent?

quote:

That talent was recruited by Saban's rebuilding of the program to elite status, the success the SEC, CBS, and ESPN.

Not one name that I listed above was signed by Saban. Saban recruited some great talent while he was at LSU, but he sure as hell seemed like he didn't give a flying frick to stick around and coach them.

And it's pathetic that you want to give the networks the credit for LSU being able to bring in the recruits that have come to LSU. But let me guess, the networks aren't responsible for the talent that Alabama has reeled in, right? How about Auburn, Georgia, Florida or any other SEC school? LSU under Miles watch is the only program that needed the networks help, correct?

You’re in denial ... The LSU program is an elite program, in spite of Miles’ foibles. Saban rebuilt the program, that along with the dominance of the SEC, and media outlets like CBS and ESPN helped to propel LSU to elite status in the national psyche. All that together helped LSU to gain currency with Recruiting. Miles happened to be in the right place and the right time. Unfortunately, the LSU people held on the Miles way too long. In the end, Miles brought the program back to “also ran” status.

Saban's 5 year tenure at lsu= 2 10 win seasons
2 top 15 finishes
Miles last 5 years where dumbasses like you say hs destroyed lsu= 4 10 win seasons( yes im counting mcneese) 3 top 15 finishes

So please explain what type of ignorant math youre using where less 10 win seasons and less top 15 finishes is somehow better.

It amazes me the amount of lsu posters on here that actually believe someone could luck into one of the best tenures in SEC HISTORY. If lsu was so set up for titles why did the greatest coach of our generation lose 3 games in year 5 of his tenure.

Then why wasn’t Miles hired? By anyone? Any Team? If he was SO great surely someone would have hired him? These are rhetorical in nature, so no answer is necessary.

I've really been enjoying the Miles Hate Group's little nonsensical mental daisy chain. Since none of you have any clue, your total ignorance of the situation has been a real hoot.

Those who keep asking the question, "Why hasn't he been hired yet?" are betraying your total lack of understanding of how real high profile business works. Now don't feel badly about your ignorance. It is to be expected from people whose total existence revolves around a hoped for 3% raise each year from your employer. From your bottom up view that is a big deal and I understand that.

Now let's visit the real world of the executive suite.

If you are in charge of an entity that you hope will ascend to the $50 million level reached by LSU under Les Miles, you understand that it will take years and hiring someone in their 60's is not a good decision. You take a risk and go for younger talent rather than go for the proven commodity regardless of his proven track record. It is brutal sometimes but that's business.

Hey peej, are you under the impression that this post....

is my opinion?

Its amazing how you still dont understand that i have the same right to post FACTS about Miles' tenure as you have to give your opinion on Miles.
When you and your ilk bring football ignorant opinions like a coach could luck into the 7th best win % in sec history while coaching for over a decade during the most dominant era of sec football ever, i can post facts that shite on those opinions. Im sorry that i have facts and you have opinions. That doesnt mean i love miles. It means i love in reality.

What i want to ask you is if Miles was such a shite coach how did he turn around a shite Oklahoma State program that had one winning season in the previous 14 years? How does a shite coach cpach have 4 straight winning seasons and turn their entire recruiting dept. around and get multiple top 25 classes at a program that was getting classes in the 80's and 90's.

Look lets just face it. I have facts and you have opinions. Your opinion is miles sucked. My opinion is he was an elite recruiter and average game day coach. BUT FACTS show he was the most successful coach in lsu history.

If i were on here talking about coach O like you did/do about miles youd be screaming murder.

The myth that Saban built LSU from scratch. Really Dinardo had nothing but Saban had a lot of solid players on the roster when he got here.

His 2001 team was stacked with future nfl players in a division where the 2nd place west team was 7-5 and he still lost 3 games.

Holy shite. He is 63. Please show me all these 63 year old coaches getting hired. Please just one. Outside of coaches like saban, bill belichikn and carroll, no one is hiring a 63 year old coach.

You clearly dont understand the retread nature of cfb coaching if you think miles wouldnt get a job if he were 55. Also, he has been without a job for all of 4 months. I guess Chip Kelly is a shite coach why isnt he hired somewhere?

So? Why do you think so many LA kids are fleeing the state?
5 or 6 this year alone to Bama I think. Lot of that had to do with Miles and his ineptitude.

Bill Belichik and Pete Carroll have both been fired before.

So you constantly shitting on Miles, constantly liking posts that say Miles is a bumbling idiot, and saying Miles turned lsu into an also ran isnt proof that you think Miles sucked?
Youve said for years that lsu won in spite of Miles.
Ive never seen you make a positive post about Miles.

Because Bama has been winning at an unheard of level of success.

Lol. You have no proof thats why some recruits left the state. Youre taking your opinion and acting like it's a fact.

We hired the recruiting coordinator as HC. Miles left Coach O with the #4 class in cfb.
