Im not looking to get rich quick. Just a little spending money. I'm in college and out of a job currently which is why I asked

So is this money you can afford to lose? Because if not, stay out of the market until you're in a better place financially.

You would have better luck taking what ever money you have and playing black jack or betting college basketball, if you are just looking for some spending money. I mean that. Real answer would be to find a job to make some spending money. Not trying to be an arse either.

You're not in any position to be making short term plays in the stock market. Focus on doing well in college, setting yourself up for a job/career after college, and find another job for your "spending mkney." If you want to get into trading, use whatever free time you have leftover to learn about it so that when you do graduate and get a decent paying job you will be in a position to use discretionary money to make some plays.
