What I understand is a lot of the course isnt even trail. Its just brushy, rocky crap......and you run at night too and have to scramble up and down rocky hillsides.

Yeah, some of it is like vertical climbing. Running through briars as sharp as razors. Changing direction on your loops so that you don't remember the course that well. It works out that you get one loop at night and one loop at dark in the same direction. The next time you get to see it in the daylight, you are going the opposite direction, so you can't use familiar landmarks.

I think one of the toughest things is you don't know when it'll start. You can't get good sleep before your 60 hour race, because it could start at any time! That would be awful.

Funny that he picks one person who has no business attempting it each year. Just to see how quick they fail .

I really enjoyed the documentary. I like trail running, so I watched. This is not trail running, it's torture.
