Some rural and volunteer fire dept. located outside of a city municipality will submit a service charge to the insurance company. Most Home Owners insurance policies have coverage limited to a specified amount. Usually $500 or $1000.

In the scheme of things, I could see $500-1000 being reasonable, especially if insurance would cover it.
