Spend some time in DC or NYC.
All my old college buddies who moved and worked there are insufferable and have this "I'm better, more worldly and intelligent than you" complex.
If they truly are superior, then why do they lack the humility to keep that attitude to themselves?

Everyone except Breitbart and Fox News he means

Wait are we talking about the media or your college buddies?
This is an awfully broad brush y'all are painting with

Bingo. You're spot on.
President Trumps campaign from the beginning was example after example of his ability to find the right person for the job.
Lewandowski, Manafort & Bannon were all hired for particular, specific segments of the campaign.

I don't think people are aware of just how influential Steve Bannon is in the White House. He's the cerebral presence to Trump's backbone. He's the ideological driving force of the Trump administration. He's an absolute genius that wants nothing but the best for America. We are lucky to have him constantly in President Trump's ear.
Even Ben Shapiro says Brannon is an unhinged megalomaniac & purveyor of fake news.
ETA: nevermind, i see why y'all like him now

Am I unhinged if I want current media to be destroyed?

Unfortunately the broad brush applies to both
The DC culture, including the media, coastal elite, government jobs, academia...a big reason those circles overlap in odd ways and become broad is because they all share this same "we should be in power/have this job forever because we are who we are" attitude. Which I could tolerate, until they started getting publicly sanctimonious about their importance.
When they started getting holier than thou about their careers and professions-- the "our role is so vital to American democracy" stuff--that's where they undercut themselves to a point where they were fueling their own demise.
So, first they tell me how important they are to democracy, now they want me to feel sorry for them 'cause big bad Trump is treating them bad and cutting their cushy jobs? Do they not see how ridiculous trying to look like some victim appears?

I would be cool with clean sweep
CNN droning on about how they are professional journalist and have a job to do is comical
Journalism is dead

While I would agree CNN has taken a sharp turn from being merely incompetent to pushing a point of view first and foremost in a way they didn't used to do, I wouldn't say journalism is dead either and CNN does have some good people.

No glory in being the all Star player from a horrible team. They might have good people but I haven't seen real journalism done

27 percent of the voting eligible put Trump in place...that is not the 'country'
Oh, you want to bring up statistics.
Let's do that then...
Whenever you have a 20% (13.2MM votes) of a person's electorate coming from 2 states (NY and Cali), you have a narrowly popular candidate.
Perhaps my point is better represented by this.
Tell me again- who represents America best?

Borderline fascist stuff right here.
Shut the frick up, Captain Hyperbole.
The media has abandoned their core principles and have willfully chosen full, unabashed, open advocacy of one side of the political spectrum.
You can't do that and simultaneously expect to be treated as though you retain even a shred of integrity.
It's akin to some guy telling his wife that he is banging chicks all over town but expects her to treat him as a faithful husband.
You can't have both.
I know you are a troll and an idiot but surely you can figure this out.
