Because if we imposed a tariff as a counter, not unilaterally, there are no other countries outside of the country we tariffed that would have the same good at a comparable price? And we're certain that prices increase at a greater percentage than wages increase?

This is going to be a situation by situation measured result. This isn't some sort of blanket tariff on all foreign manufactured products from every country, it is likely a strategic tariff on a specific product, from one specific country.

And that one product from that one country isn't manufactured exclusively in a vacuum.

Peter Schiff was partially correct, Trumpkins sometimes embrace globalism.

one word that is missing right now in many sectors of the economy is competition. Sounds like Trump is going to level the playing field by getting rid of regulations that only favor the big companies that have the capital to wade throught them.
