Some are good and some are bad and I agree that the whole way of doing it in general sucks.

Went to Lamarque Ford and I was in there 10 minutes and realized they are a bunch of nimrods.

Went to the Honda place in Slidel and they have even shifted to a worse way than usual with how they want to do it. They have this young 20's something somewhat ignorant person talk to you about what you want and show you the car while attempting to tell you about it's specs, etc.
Then they when it's time to talk numbers they run back and forth to a back office to talk to their boss.

Ray Brandt Nissan and Royal Honda both have legit salesmen that are generally allowed to talk numbers and make decisions.

I agree about Royal Honda, we know the sales manager, as well.
Don't know about Ray Brandt Nissan, but their Toyota franchise is terrible, you spend more time sitting alone at a desk in the middle of the freaking showroom than you do talking to your sales person or anyone else.

Got TX pricing from them relatively pain free, and more for my trade than I would have in TX. I'd recommend them, at least the guy I dealt with. He knew that I knew what I was looking at and nothing he said would sell me, he just got me the price I wanted.

I would never do business with them. One of their sales people lied to me about the price on a car (said the price he gave me, which was a few hundred more than it was advertised for online mind you, was selling it at a loss for them). I told him don't do that BS with me, you don't stay in business advertising vehicles at a loss. He said I'm not lying. I told him I don't do business with liars, good day. I got a phone call from his GM, and he's like "so and so is one of the most honest people I know and he'd never lie." I replied well he did, don't call me again. GM sends me 3 text messages. fricking clown show of an operation they run there.
