I completely agree with you right now. But by the time Saban is finished with him at bama, Moses is probably going to be pretty special. Saban has been great at developing lbs. I don't think Moses will be any better than the lbs they have this year, though. They fit Saban's system better than Moses does, but Saban is also shifting his style of lbs some.

Regarding Moses I've only seen the film clips of LB's trying to guard RB's. He got beat but he still looked a step faster than the other LB's. (And Akers made everyone look silly.)

Regarding Allen, I can understand why Bama is attractive. As he noted in the OP's link, they are the pace car in CFB. And under Les, we were no longer making a good-faith effort to compete with them. But that's changed. Sweeter than joining the best is beating the best.

At Bama, Allen would just be 'another;' here, he could be a difference maker.

For the first time since '07, we'll be playing them on a level playing field.

This is a Hootie-Adams deal, we'll get the better player in Phillips

Ummmm... NO.

How often does the pace car take the checkered flag?
TERRIBLE analogy.

I think all the people on here saying Allen is a lock to Bama have no real information what he will do. He might go to Bama. He might be planning on going to Bama and have a last minute change of heart. He might be truly conflicted on what he will do.

He is 18. Eighteen year olds change their minds for any number of reasons, some reasons which don't make a lick of sense.

I'll hold out hope for him until he actually signs elsewhere. If he decides not to come, maybe that helps land Phillips. Getting both would be great, getting either one would work for me.

Not even sure if I want to flip him any more. Kids committed to other schools showing us love.

Would love for the kid to come here, but not at the expense of losing out on another kid because we're holding out for Allen.

Offer is on the table we've made it clear we want you here with the best coach in CFB with a deadly squad surrounding you. IF you heart is with LSU, then come home. If not, then we never knew you Men in Black style.

So why not be a part of the team that kicks Bama's arse and get to the title game? its not like LSU sucks. Oh well. Onward.

Does anybody really believe we flip Allen? Because I have absolutely no hope of that happening.
I had more than hope and thought that LSU should be pouring resources into it. While I still think that was the right thing to do, now that the OV is done and we have his reaction from the radio interview it seems LSU gave it a good go, but it's not happening.

He didn't play us; someone said he'd rather sit on the bench at Bama (I'd add 'early' to that; he'll be a starter sometime) and it appears he's sticking to that.

VERY underwhelming. I've read someone who described him perfectly by saying he finds the ball well but is not physical. He's overhyped.

Have you noticed that no one is throwing Moses' name around anymore. I hope he looks good riding the pine in Tuscaloosa for at least the next couple of years. Really speaks to his character (or lack there of) in my opinion.
