I'm not a pit bull advocate but I encounter them with some regularity and have never seen one get aggressive in any form.

Of course, I hang out at dog parks attended by responsible people, at friends' houses, etc., not in shitty ghettoes south of I-20.

Same. There's an awesome one at our dog park that my dog always plays with.

But, they should all be spayed and neutered. No reason for the breed to continue.

responsible people

This is it in a nutshell. My future sister-in-law has one and we were around it with our two toddlers this christmas. I made sure the boys were never alone with the dog, but it just laid around and if they got too close for it's liking, it moved to another area. She said the dog is scared of her nieces and nephews.

They are extremely good dogs when raised right. Get someone irresponsible and this is what happens. shite owners.

Yep. My pit goes straight to greet people at the dog park. She used to sleep with my roommates daughter when she'd stay over. But I also busted my arse to socialize her to avoid any problems. Give a hood rat or country trash a golden retriever, and they'd be attacking people just the same.

But I'll also add this. After spending a couple weeks at a motel 6 in Arkansas, waiting for my apartment to be ready, one thing was consistent. Every piece of shite staying there, asked me about my dog. Some dumb cracker even yelled across the parking lot, asking if she was for sale. That was the craziest shite I've ever heard.
