you just described my wife and it drives me up a wall. its worse when we go to someone's house where they cooked for all the guests and she wont eat half the shite they cooked. its disrespectful to the hosts at the very least.

That's one of my pet peeves....unless you're allergic to something, if someone went through trouble of cooking a meal, then eat it. Even if you don't like it, just grin and bear it and pretend like you enjoy it. If there is plenty and you somewhat like it, have seconds if asked - it will make the cook feel good.
