You act like LSU is in a slump basketball wise. This is par for the course. We are the vanderbilt of basketball in the SEC. It doesn't matter who we hire. It will always be this way. Do you see Vandy becoming a huge powerhouse in football anytime soon? Do you see them pulling a top 5 class anytime soon? I didn't think so.
You may be one of the most ignorant posters on this whole board. But not only that, you compound your ignorance by coming across like a raging fricking a-hole.
How old are you? Apparently not old enough to remember the 80's. LSU was absolutely considered a basketball power for 10-15 years. Go look at some old footage and notice how the PMAC was packed to the rafters and rocking. In fact, here's a couple of links for your history lesson:
LSU vs Kentucky, 1980
Chris Jackson highlights from 1989 Again, notice PMAC packed to the gills and very raucous.
And here is a road game from 1980 to illustrate that LSU was regarded as a well respected, up and coming program, and went toe to toe with one of the top national powers of the day.
LSU vs DePaul, 1980
For you to sit there and speak in absolutes, all-knowing and railing that LSU will NEVER be a good basketball program truly highlights your profound ignorance on the subject. For you to do it in the manner you have in this thread shows that not only are you ignorant, you're also an a-hole.
quote:
Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Kansas, Michigan St, Florida, UCLA ,Louiville. The landscape isn't changing anytime soon.
And how many times did you use Florida as an example, lumping them in with national power bluebloods. Do you not realize that before Billy Donovan, Florida had nowhere even close to the history in basketball that LSU had at that time? Florida was a big fat ZERO with regard to it's basketball tradition. But guess what, they went and hired a fantastic young coach. That was all it took. You railing against LSU's basketball prospects while including Florida as part of your argument truly illustrates that you are one ignorant POS jackass.
You dumbfrick.
