When did hating this country begin? And when did it become the 'Patriotic' thing

It baffles me that wanting our borders secure, and enforcing immigration LAW somehow became a racist idea.

I'm confused that wanting to put America first, in terms of jobs over shite trade deals is wrong.

I am perplexed that hacking of emails showing total corruption within a political party and OUTRIGHT collusion by the media is considered a bad thing.

I am at a loss that baking a cake goes to court and bankrupts a small business, yet refusing to make a dress is celebrated as heroism.

I am struggling to understand how saying 'All Lives Matters' somehow brings us back to slavery.

I only bring up these issues nagging me because I just watched 'Miracle'. Seems amazing the year before I was born, how much that win meant for this country. Seems it lifted up this country in a time of need. The chants of 'USA, USA, USA' meant something.

Long story short, in my 35 years, we have never needed something like that more than now. And in about 5 days, we got the new 'Miracle'.

God Bless our new President, and God Bless this damn fine country!

MAGA

ETA: MAGA Just so you know how great w can be

Progressivism is totalitarianism coated with the veneer of equality.

For you guys, I would say it started around Obama's inauguration.

We went to shite when Americans turned a blinded eye to all the illegals coming in to do manual labor.

There are a lot of people that have made a lot of money off them and there are lazy Americans also.

For liberals, they never loved this country. According to michelle obama, it was only a great place when Obama won the presidency.

I present Trump hating on the country and being "patriotic" (in his head)

Don't try to pretend both sides aren't huge hypocritical cry babies when they don't get their way. You can think our shitty two party for that.

It's more like hating our overreaching government.

The people that feel like that have had the loudest voice for way too long. Their attitude was rejected in the recent election.

I'm guessing it started with the rise of communism in the 50s and then really took with Vietnam in the 70s.

Pretty sure all of that happened with the people who were born before WW2 and missed the Korean war because they were to young to draft.

It's all on the egghead liberals.

I think they were the first ones that realized that the military industrial complex was an actual being within the federal government though.

Marxism is entirely focused on deconstructing the host society.

Leftists are just Marxists at their core.

Most of the ones here aren't smart enough to realize that, though.

The answer to your question lies in the socialist infiltration of our universities in the 50's and their ability to lead simpleminded democrats by the nose ever since. We see their efforts really take hold on Democrat losers, cowards, and layabouts of the late 60's/early 70's.

McCarthy was a lunatic. He was also 100% correct in his paranoia.

Remember when we were attacked on 9/11 the country came together and we said "never forget", well, we forgot. Sad.

Hating the country began in the late 70s with the advent of post modernism on college campuses. Truth is not observable because we observe through the distorted lenses of racism, sexism and homophobia.
Since the US is racist, sexist and homophobic the US should be hated.

The 3rd world is immune from hate even though they are racist, sexist and homophobic. It's because 3rd world inhabitants share something with blacks, women and gays. They are all 'the other'. They are powerless victims who must be championed.

I was alive and 16 years old at the time and it was a big story but it wasn't any bigger than "kick 6"...it was a sports story...most Americans didn't even know it had happened...it was fricking hockey for crying out loud...outside the frozen tundra no one was remotely interested in watching it live....
