I don't understand why the word Oriental is in any way racist unless you are fundamentally ignorant of word etymology. And in any way different than Asian.

Oriental means someone or something form the East vs Occidental which means someone or something from the West. Orient coming from the latin word to rise, so where the son rises.

Asia was originally the Greek word for the other side of the Aegean Sea and then cam to refer to those living in Anatolia and in the Persian Empire.
