Been there several times... buddy lives in Zachary. It's cool for what it is. That being said...
Sat there on a Sunday for prolly 3 hrs on the porch with teddy, his wife and a couple other musicians cause the electricity was out when we got there. I don't think Teddy likes the white guy(wife is a red head), but puts up with it cause we go there is what I got and we like the blues. Could never figure out if he genuinely liked us or cussed us as soon as we left. We backed up the truck and played music from it while we drank in the pitch. That was prolly the 7-8th time I'd been.
Was really cool b/c he and the other musicians (more so the other guys) told stories of Stevie Ray, howlin wolf, buddy guy etc etc. playing in his club and around the area in the 79s and 80s. Even though I think he was just happy cause we drank $100 worth of Budweiser and he didn't even have electricity.
