UConn women would destroy most high school boys teams. Back in the mid 2000s I was involved with the women's basketball program, and during those times LSU (and Tennessee's) women's programs regularly scrimmaged against the men and came pretty close (within 20 a couple times with 10 minute quarters).

I know you could say that the boys werent playing full strength, and they didn't until Siemone Augustus showed up. The first scrimmage she was a part of, she embarrassed several Tiger men, and the women only lost by 11 or 12 or something like that. From then on, it was balls to the wall (get it?) and the women never got that close again, but the average win by the boys (starters) hovered around 25-30 points for a 40-minute game.

nah, they're too slow, too small, can't jump, and can't get the shot off quick enough, you may have witnessed scrimmages where the girls were playing their "Super Bowl" game and the guys were like, whatever, or trying not to hurt them, I've played pick up games with some good college players and some ex NBA players and had a few good games, coming away feeling a little smug, but afterwards realized that I was playing my arse off and they were basically just out there goofing off, kind of telling that the big news in women's NCAA basketball a couple of years ago was that there was "a" dunk, one dunk, in the entire season

No wait,

You realize women's college teams train against basically rec level men, right? And the rec level men are better than them.

ETA: Didn't even get to that you were supposedly involved, and you still think that?

They wouldn't beat any high school playoff basketball team in Louisiana. My 3A high school team of a bunch of white guys that barely made the playoffs would beat the crap out of them. They'd be lucky to score 20 points against us.

no they weren't always playing hard like they would against men.
Define embarrassed? Did she make a shot over them, b/c I know she didn't blow by anyone with some nice dribbling move. I played against her many times at the Rec. She was a great spot up shooter, and that's all she could do at the rec. She is one of the few women on the planet that shoots like a man releasing the ball up high instead of pushing it from her chest like 99% of women do, but even that doesn't help her that much against a guy that knows she isn't getting by him so he can challenge every shot she takes, and likely block a few of them since she can't jump.

That's essentially what I would say.
