But he was clearly a sith....wouldn't Anakin killing Dooku like he did be breaking that code? Anakin could have still used something force related couldn't he? Palpatine was a frail old man and he still had massive force powers.
It wasn't like Anakin was a normal helpless person.

It was against the code. Which is why he hesitated to kill Dooku until Palpatine convinced him too. He also used that reasoning to keep Mace from killing Palpatine.

Obi-Wan wasn't able to stop him because he was unconscious after being thrown into the railing.
