It's actually kind of funny that nobody remembers, but the first half of USC Texas was really sloppy, and not good football by any stretch of the imagination.

Although I suppose it could be argued that a sloppy first half in which USC could move the ball but turned it over in the RZ twice was better than watching 2 teams that couldn't move the ball at all.

It was, but you had lots of bizarre plays thrown in there like the Reggie lateral and Vince pitching a TD with his knee on the ground

We were like Bama in reverse. Bama was all D which set their offense up all season, and we were all offense in 2004. 2004 USC's D wasn't nearly as good as SC's 2008 D for example. The freaking Ting brothers were playing in the secondary, FFS.
