I agree. There are 2 important questions that I have wanted to be answered and have not heard the answers to.

1. WHY did Putin want Trump to win over Hillary.

2. Where are some specific examples of "fake news" originating from Russia. Actual articles.

Unfortunately I don't think we're ever going to hear this. MSM wants the point driven repeatedly that Russia influenced the election, tampered, tainted, tinkered with it without providing any additional details. You have to pass a bill to find out what's in it but it's apparently worse if you get to look at these emails and notes about the DNC's dealings.

I suspect he believes Trump's demeanor, lack of political experience and belief that Russia is a "friend" will work to his nation's advantage.

Hillary was vocal about the election corruption in Russia and she supported heavy Russian sanctions.
