If anyone thinks that the Saints cost the State of Louisiana money then they have no idea how government works.
I guarantee whatever the state puts into the Saints by way of discounts and tax incentives are received back several times over from all the hotel tax, restaurant taxes, bars and shops that operate each weekend during a home game.
I would like to see some actual figures to back up that "guarantee." How about one of them link things?

I think the Saints have a bigger impact than a lot of other teams, but I'd say the Packers are probably the only team in all of professional sports that would even dent a local economy if they were to disband or move.
