The Russians did this for multiple reasons, and you're seeing one of them right now, to sow discord and question the legitimacy of Trump's election.
It's time for Trump to act like a statesman. He should be confident enough in his election to come down hard on the Russians for this.

Regardless of his confidence in his victory, Trump has business interests in Russia and with Russian connections. Never fricking happen, he will be sucking Putin's penis the entirety of his presidency.
but we would know this for sure if Trump just released his tax returns.
