I've got 4 under 10 years old. Though I do not wish I didn't have them there are moments I miss days of doing what I want to do. I just want some silence. Then my wife takes them to see family for a few days. While the first night is pretty dang nice, the second is less so, by the third night I'm a mess and long for the chaos to return. The best thing about me are those 4 kids. You can't really understand it until you are there.

What's going to be great is when your 55 and you've had all these great life experiences and you get to keep spending all the holidays alone with your wife, until she passes away and then you get to spend them alone by yourself and you've got no support system when your wife dies at 61 and you get diagnosed with cancer, and you have to go through Chemo alone.

Sounds like you're on a winning track sure wish I didn't have kids.

Exactly same feelings here. Except it's just me and my wiener dog.
