The Rose Bowl is outrageously overrated. No one gives a shite about the venue when watching a game on tv. It's all about who is playing. Usually the Rose Bowl is a shite matchup and I usually skip it. The game this year was a good matchup, but it was a sloppy game by both teams with horrible refereeing. It's sad that a lot of football fans think a trash game is an 'instant classic' just because a shitload of points are scored and the game is close. The Sugar Bowl usually has a better and more interesting matchup every year. This year would have been
insane if LSU had been playing Oklahoma. The Dome would have been rocking and the national tv audience would have seen a much better game than what we got with Auburn.

I don't even have to look but I'd venture to say the Rose Bowl has had the best games in its history compared to the other bowls - just from memory.

And...

"No one gives a shite about the venue." - seriously dude, that's like saying...no one gives a shite about Star Wars (because you don't like Star Wars.)

Every Rose Bowl I've watched over the years...they always talk about the venue, the setting, the Rose Parade, how excited the players are to be playing there and experiencing the Rose experience, which is a week long event. It's college football's version of the Super Bowl to the players and fans...who pay exorbitant amounts - always the top ticket draw to be there. They aren't paying that money just to experience the Cotton or Sugar Bowl..."sun setting over the...the...the...Dome."
