What I don't understand is why Amazon Prime Video sucks on every non-Amazon device I've tried, from TVs to BD players to the latest Roku. If they're gonna provide the app, make it work decent, without long periods of SD quality, poor performance after skipping back or forward, etc. I guess they really want you on a Fire device.

Weird, I watch prime daily on my Roku and not once have I ever had an issue.

I can honestly say I have NEVER had a problem with Prime Video.
