The line is about a quarter to half a mile away I'd say. I'd like to look into the thing at the end your talking about. All I'd need is 3 or 4 mbps

Is it open or is there alot of trees blocking the line of sight from your house to where the line is?

Like he said, if you can get someone to put the equipment on their land... maybe they will if they get free internet. There are several options from Ubiquiti that will beam a signal line of sight. Depending on the density of the trees it may be possible.

I live way off the main road and fire the signal from the modem I put in a shed about 800-1000ft from my house (through trees).
