This is the logical equivalent to "don't want to be raped, then don't wear sexy clothes" and "drive a sports car, then expect it to be stolen".

While you may believe it's sage advise it is basically assigning some of the blame for a crime onto people who are doing no wrong. Even if it's just 1% responsibility.

Or don't want to be unlawfully abused by cops, then do exactly as they say even if their request is unlawful.

And, there may be more to this story than a polite request to turn down the volume two notches

Either way, This murder is hideous, heinous, and horrendous. I did not read to see if they got caught, but they deserve the death penalty.
