Bathroom Mirror - Should I frame before or after I hang on wall?

I have a frameless mirror that I plan on hanging above a bathroom vanity. I went with a frameless because it was a larger space and I was limited with options pre-framed. I nevertheless would like to build a frame around it.
Can anyone provide me with any insight on whether I should just hang it the way it was intended (with mirror mastic and clips), and just dress it up with trim surround, or if I should build a frame with underlayment and hang as a framed mirror?
My original plan was to just glue it to the wall and build a frame, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with something like this beforehand. It is just a builder mirror 36x60.
TIA

i did one after it was hung and it was pretty simple. It had the clips, but i made sure the frame was large enough to hide the clips inside the frame itself. If your using wood, make sure you stain/paint both sides because the backside will reflect off the mirror

I did after. I used molding cut to fit and painted and then construction adhesive to glue it to the mirror.

You could always use nice trim and use a router to notch out and hide the clips then brad nail the trim.

I'd frame it after hanging. Use 2-sided tape to attach the border. I liquid nailed the border to one mirror and realized that shite won't ever come off - so used 2-sided tape on the others.

I would frame before. It would remove easily for when you repaint.

I've framed after hanging and it was super easy.
Like someone pointed out though, finish both sides of the frame as you will see the reflection of the back side.
