I went to CHS and I can tell you 100% those guys feel it their freshman year when they get there. There was a table in the cafeteria where only the black guys sat and they only talked to each other. Yes, they chose to do this and no one forced them, but they chose it because they were uncomfortable everywhere else.

Obama was elected for the first time my senior year of high school. A LOT of my classmates wore all white shirts that day to make a statement. I was the one who stood up in class and had to explain why that would make some of our classmates feel like they didn't deserve to be there.

It's not always blatant racism, in fact I would say it rarely ever is. But it's there, and those kids know it.

Yeah I am calling BS that anyone said that to him too. Thought it? Yes. Said it to him? I doubt it. To be fair, the article did not actually go to specifically state that guys said someone said that to him. But it did imply it . Great read.
