A rule change I threw out to Frat to Tom regarding trading picks
Tiered drafting:
*Rounds 1-2
Can only trade one of these picks
*Rounds 3-4
Can only trade one of these picks
*Rounds 5-7
Can trade two of these
*Rounds 8-15
Can trade as many as you'd like

I like the draft tier trading restrictions

If I've accumulated more than 2 picks (or 3) in a tier, I can trade until I have 1 left? Or limited to 1 trade per tier?

My original idea is to ensure teams have the minimum that's required in a tier.
Say you acquire an additional 2nd to go along with your original 2nd 1st rounders.
So long as you maintain one of those picks, you're good.
That's my line of thinking. Hopefully we can create some good discussion on this in time.

Need to read over this stuff. Any other changes yall thinking about?

I, of course, want the 4th OF slot
Been begging for that for three years now.
I'm ok with implementing it during the 2018 season if owners need time to adjust roster.
The top 36 OFs in the bigs are all too good. We need to make it more challenging.
That's my $0.02

I'm down with 4th OF, not with restricting free trade.

also down with 4th OF
restricting free trade prevents total sell-offs, then leaving the league, and the league being stuck with a team no new owner would want...

Anyone want to start transitioning away from saves?
Posted on 12/27/16 at 11:20 am to MrWiseGuy
How's this league formatted currently?
Posted on 12/27/16 at 11:29 am to GynoSandberg
12 teams
5x5 -- ops, QS
10 keepers
$50

I'd rather make more relievers valuable or just scrap relievers all together. If you want to keep RP, replace SV with IP (for example), then you value RP who pitch better over more innings rather than guys who pitch in certain circumstances. Unless y'all are fans of busting your arse on waivers for Kevin Quackenbush and Tony Cingrani.
Realize guy have built their teams a certain way, so maybe not this year but in near future.
