Linked the Dot to a Bose Soundlink BT Speaker and use it on its cradle as a superior speaker than even the Echo. Then when we wanna get mobile we can move the Speaker wherever. It's got a 10 hour battery charge and the ability to take calls and remain BT connected to my iPhone simultaneously to my Dot.
So in a sense I can stream music from Amazon or iPhone remotely, take a call or even conference folks, or use Alexa.
It's got a ton of potential and for $39-49 (where the Dot is routinely priced at), it's just a no-brainer. It's a really powerful tool hooked into Amazon and even beyond that, the level of skills and control it can accomplish with IoT and smart-home accessories make it without question the most diverse, versatile and inexpensive foray into whole-home automation consumers have right now.
