Going down for a few days soon. Hoping for some pool time. Will probably stop by the Dali museum. Staying at the Vinoy. Any reccs on food or places to see? Will probably avoid Tampa/Mons Venus on this trip.

There is a state park there with great beaches and nice sea life right off the sand.

When your downtown eat at The Avenue. Grab a beer at 5 bucks, Mandarin Hide, Yard of Ale, and Canopy (which is a rooftop bar over looking the bay).
Catch some fish down at The Skyway Bridge pier.
Check out Ft. DeSoto state park..it's by Skyway bridge. it's home to one of the few dog beaches.
St. Pete Beach is always great. PCI (Post Card Inn) is always a good time. So is Crab Daddy's, Shark Tales, adn Toasted Monkey.
St. Pete Brewery, 3 Daughters, Green Bench, Cycle Brewery are all pretty damn good craft beer breweries all within a few miles of each other. Green Bench has the best outdoor seating with lawn games and such.
Have Breakfast at The Frog Pond.
St. Pete is the most dog-friendly city in Florida so bring the pup.

Thanks for all the recs...hit Cycle last time and will be doing that again, along with the others.
Looking to stay a couple nights on St. Pete Beach after staying a couple days downtown or closer to Tampa.
