got home from church tonight and started to get dinner ready...
fridge and freezer are not cooling. pretty sure they were working this am. tips? tricks?

Does the light come on when you open it?, may have flipped the breaker.

Is your freezer packed full? Lots of times people block where the cold air comes in with a box or bag pressed up to not allow the cold air in.

May be a defrost thermostat or defrost heater.
You can usually remove a panel from the interior of the freezer and check if the coil is frozen. If it is, you can thaw it with a hairdryer and plug it back it in. It will buy you time until it freezes up again.
If it's either of those things, it's an easy DIY fix. You'll just need to find the parts.

how old is the unit?
Does the unit have a control panel?
Probably should give the maker and model number.
