CBS or tuneric (curcumin) can work but doesn't most of the time. Good ol' big pharma and help from a pain management professional is usually the way to go. Meditation can also help but again.....Not always.

My SO spent a year in India and the way she managed to control her nerve pain with eastern medicine was significantly better than the western medicine route. She lost faith in western medicine and the way we pump big pharma drugs into people to the point she is quitting her RN work and pursuing bringing eastern medicine to the US, which probably wouldn't have much success in a lot of areas but she is gaining momentum in Boulder. I can't really explain it well but check out Ayurvedic practices and methods

At the advice of my orthopedist, I was told to get off anti-inflammatories and get on high quality turmeric/curcumin supplements (the kind with added bioperine added for better absorption). I deal with premature osteoarthritis problems due to complicated underlying conditions.

After several months I've determined it has done absolutely nothing to help. I'm sure for some it does wonders, but for me - nada.
