No the difference in repercussions is that nobody on the right claims they have some sort of moral superiority as it relates to speaking about looks/appearances and acts like they have some high ground on the subject. The left constantly acts hypocritical over the subject and never misses an opportunity to brow beat the right over comments made which the left fully participates in as well.

But this isn't that. They absolutely do the moral superiority thing, but this time they're body shaming a body-shamer. It's perfectly fair.

Furthermore, neither Trump nor his supporters have the moral right to be offended by anything, ever.
